About Master Denson

Master George Denson got his first introduction to the martial arts in the 1970’s. In 1980 his mother enrolled him in a Kenpo Karate class in Sanford, NC under Master Rusty Linkous.

It was there in 1982 that he met his current instructor in Chinese Kempo, Soke John Stover. Master Denson received his black belt in 1984, and in 1995 was awarded the rank of 5th degree and master instructor. In 2004 he was promoted to his current rank of 7th degree black belt.

In 1992 Master Denson worked on the set of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III”. It was there he met Datu Shishir Inocalla. Shishir, who played Michelangelo in the film, introduced Master Denson to Modern Arnis. He immediately fell in love with the art, eventually receiving a black belt with Datu Shishir. Soon after, Master Denson went on to train with the founder of Modern Arnis, Professor Remy Presas.

Master Denson opened his first major karate school in 1993. G-Force Kenpo Karate Systems, located in Sanford, NC is still in business today. At one time there were over 200 students a week training at his school. The school won the top 200 schools in North America award 3 times. Master Denson has promoted over 50 Black Belts, including three who now run their own schools.

In 2004 Master Denson moved to Florida and in 2005 opened his current martial arts school. He continues to train in Kenpo karate as well other martial arts. He views martial arts as a way of
life, one that has helped him overcome his challenges with dyslexia and his ADHD through the focus and dedication he has learned through karate.
